About
I was born in 1960 a citizen of the United States of America (newly under a fifty-star flag) in another country (which no longer exists). I’ve been a bureaucrat since 1983. This site and others are written on a Mac Pro running Mac OS X Leopard purchased in 2007 which replaced a significantly upgraded but aging beige Power Macintosh G3 and a decrepit 9½ year-old Compaq Presario notebook. The beige Desktop replaced a Performa 6118 in 2004 and itself was upgraded to Mac OS X Panther in 2005 . The Compaq Presario 1681 was upgraded to Windows 98 Second Edition in 2005 displacing a 1998 installation of Windows 98. I drive a 2002 Ford Focus ZX5 which I bought used in 2003 and a 2006 Ford Escape XLS which I bought new in 2005. I’ve been on Facebook since 2007 and on MySpace since 2008.

My first camera was a Minolta SRT-202 purchased at the Annandale Kmart in February of 1978 and I stuck with the manufacturer into the autofocus and digital eras and have extended that legacy with the full-frame SLR from Sony.
